We loved shooting these Houston summer Engagement Portraits with Alyssa and Rob!   Its especially fun when our brides and grooms choose to create portraits in places and locations that are special to them. We first started out at Alyssa and Rob’s new house in the Heights where they love to spend time cooking and enjoying each other’s company and playing with their cute dog Haley! One of the things that Alyssa said that she loved about Rob is,” We can go through a whole dinner without talking and just enjoy each other’s company and I love that.”

After spending some time at their house, we then explored and took some engagement pictures in front of the iconic Sugar Cloth Color wall.  You have to admit these bold bright colors are fantastic!

Outside of taking their sweet dog Haley on walks, Alyssa and Rob love to travel and try new things together!  It was during a surprise trip to Los Angeles to finish off some of their “must do and see” places that Rob popped the question to Alyssa at the marina.

We concluded our session by popping some champagne at our favorite park in Houston–Hermann Park!   And now, we can’t wait to celebrate with them again when they get married next Spring.  Congratulations again Alyssa and Rob!
